Care Home Open Week Success at Warrens Hall
June has been an amazing month for us and in particular, Care Home Open Week 2025.
Our home is still buzzing from the incredible energy, laughter, and community spirit that filled our home and it was a fantastic opportunity to throw open our doors, showcase the vibrant life within our walls, and connect with so many wonderful people from our local community.
Our aim for Care Home Open Week is always to dispel misconceptions about care homes and highlight the truly person-centred care we provide.
At Warrens Hall, we believe that a care home isn't just a place to live; it's a place to thrive, to connect, and to continue living a fulfilling life, supported by dedicated professionals. This year, we went all out to demonstrate just that!
Our much-anticipated World Food Day was also enjoyed by all. Our talented kitchen team, with input from our residents, prepared a mouth-watering array of dishes from across the globe. From aromatic curries to delicious pasta dishes and exotic desserts, it was a true culinary adventure. Residents shared stories of their travels and favourite foods, creating a wonderful atmosphere of shared experiences and cultural exploration. Food, as always, proved to be a fantastic connector, sparking conversations and smiles all around.
We also hosted blood pressure checks and enjoyed visits from a local nursery school and the local fire brigade ensuring that the week was truly a community affair.
Throughout the week, we were absolutely delighted to welcome lots of visitors and families. Our doors were open for anyone who wanted to pop in, have a cup of tea, and see first hand the warm and welcoming environment we've cultivated. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to meet new ones. We had engaging tours of our facilities, opportunities to chat with our dedicated staff, and most importantly, a chance for visitors to spend quality time with their loved ones in a relaxed and joyful setting.
Lavinia Tudora, home manager, said: "Every activity, every conversation, and every moment of Care Home Open Week reinforced our commitment to person-centred care. This isn't just a buzzword for us; it's the very foundation of everything we do. It means understanding each resident as an individual, respecting their choices, celebrating their uniqueness, and tailoring our care to their specific needs and preferences. Seeing families witness their loved ones laughing, engaging in activities, and truly feeling at home was the greatest reward."
